Forget Me Like A Flower

Forget me like a flower
But remember me in the spring
The pills you take exasperate
The blossom that you bring
The vines of thyme
Are creeping by
A moss resurrections crime
Whispers ring in empty trees
A tiny teardrop dries
The chrysalis of a rose
As every forest fire flies
And rivers dip their toes
The spring of empty tables
Filled with a shallow gasp
A teardrop melts as a snow flake falls
Every hand now tightly clasps
A memory of lemonade
A glass filled with a smile
The summers passing undertow
Now leaves us for awhile
