That Chair

Sitting in the chair
The truth is all they want
But the fear takes my courage away
So all I do is go
I said no
That wasn’t enough
Was your bra on
No
My dress was strapless
I said no
Did he threaten you
No
Did he drug you
I don’t know
Were you passed out
No, but I-
They’ll be meaner to you
The police
Can I see your wrist
Do you need proof
You’d use my fear against me
I see
I said I said no
Is that not enough
No isn’t enough
He twisted his words
My thoughts don’t count
I kept saying no
He pushed harder
No that wasn’t enough
And you didn’t listen either
It was clear that you were honest
And are you okay with this?

You don’t realize how much else you lose
When you lose something stolen from you
When you’re at your lowest.
You don’t realize how much else can disappear
And the worst part is what was lost
Won’t even know that it’s missing

It surprises me
The plans ones make

But didn’t I say no?
