World Plans

I never thought I meant anything
But the world had different plans
My mind would play cruel tricks on me
With scissors, knives and razor blades
Release your pain by bleeding out
But my body had different plans
Genetic disorders for clotting
Two different ones to be exact
Run within my veins
So when my mind played tricks with me
My body could numb the pain
Mutations knew much better
Than the cruelty in my mind
With this disorder the cuts would heal
Much quicker than without
So maybe that’s how I’m still here
Because of a simple flaw
Because of something wrong
And maybe that’s while I’m still here
And not beneath the ground
Even when I thought
Life was meaningless
The world set out its own remarks
And left me with different plans
So know I have reminders
Placed above my hands
