Mother Love, A Running Bath

Running the bath
Warmth and relaxation
Comfort your veins
As you light the candles of enlightenment
Clarity passes through
Water comforting as an embrace from the womb
Back where you belong
Before the world took hold of you
In her hands designed for death
Mother create me
Mother nourish me
Mother hold me
Mother protect me
Soaking in the astrological nuances
Like the mutter of birth
The iced choke of death erases the candles light
Warmth turns to frigid isolation
Sticking motionless in what should be life
Hips gone numb
Breath sharp and shallow
Paralyzed in lifelessness
Heartbeats in a shadow
Mother berate me
Mother starve me
Mother leave me
Mother criticize me
